Description

Ampthill Baptist Church is a warm, friendly, family-based Church in the historic market town of Ampthill, Bedfordshire.  Many people refer to us as 'ABC'. We welcome a wide variety of people of all ages and backgrounds.

Our church is the people in it - not the building!  The people of Ampthill Baptist Church (ABC) are drawn from diverse backgrounds and age groups. We have different gifts and different experiences but the combination makes for a lively and welcoming fellowship that is committed to serving God in Ampthill and beyond.  

 We are to be a WORSHIPPING people
Jesus commanded us to love God with our whole being. With God at the centre, we are committed to being a church whose worship is expressed not only during Sunday services, but every day of the week, whatever we are doing.

We want to reflect God’s passion for WITNESS.
Jesus commanded us to go into all the world. We are committed to being a church whose priority is to share the Good News of Jesus by word and action

We want to reflect God’s passion for FELLOWSHIP
Jesus said we are to love one another as He loves us. We are committed to being a church open to all, characterised by love; whose fellowship is warm, welcoming, inclusive and caring, rejoicing in the unity and fellowship of all Christian believers.

We want to reflect God’s passion for DISCIPLESHIP
Jesus commanded us to make disciples.  We are committed to being a church that will teach, train and encourage one another to grow in Christ-like character and obedience.

We want to reflect God’s passion for SERVICE
Jesus commanded us to serve others. We are committed to being a church with a heart of service towards one another, our local community and the wider world. We want to be a church where everyone uses their gifts and resources in service that builds Christ’s Kingdom, and confronts evil and injustice in God’s world
